Have you ever wanted to know when a PDF document was created and if it is still relevant ?
If you have collected reference material from various sources and want to gauge if the content is still relevant, you can use quickly check the “creation date” stored in the PDF document file as metadata.
Some options for viewing PDF document files and their metadata:
1/ Adobe Acrobat Reader
2/ Apple Mac OS X Preview
Adobe Acrobat Reader
If you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader on a Mac, open the PDFs then press key combination “COMMAND + D” to show the properties panel.
Under MS Windows, the key combination is “CONTROL + D”.

Apple Mac OS X Preview
If you are using Preview on an Apple Mac, open the PDFs then press key combination “COMMAND + i” to the INFO panel.
